The emergency treatment goal of "not allowing excessive sewage to enter Songhua River" can definitely be achieved. " On April 11, Guo Qingwei, a member of the national environmental emergency expert group and director of the environmental emergency research center of South China Environmental Science Research Institute of the Ministry of ecological environment, told reporters at the site of the emergency response to the leakage of tailings pond of Luming mining industry in Yichun.
The monitoring data at 3:00 a.m. on April 11 showed that the characteristic pollutant molybdenum in tailings pond leakage has been effectively controlled,.
According to the introduction, the emergency disposal work, after the stage of blocking and intercepting, pollution control and peak shaving, has entered the stage of clean repair since April 7. The comprehensive purification and clean guarantee project of water quality has been implemented in Lanxi bridge to ensure that the water quality is up to the standard, and the clean-up work of river polluted sediment has been started in time to prevent secondary pollution.
After the incident, the Ministry of ecological environment quickly sent a working group to the scene to guide and promote the emergency work. On the afternoon of April 10, the reporter followed the working group to Hulan River, about 1 km downstream of the site of Hulan River cleaning and purification project of Lanxi bridge, and about 66 km away from the mouth of Hulan River into Songhua River. The reporter noticed that the river has been basically cleared.
"The chemicals put in the emergency disposal process will not affect the water environment." Song Yonghui, head of the national environmental emergency expert group and vice president of the Chinese Academy of Environmental Sciences, said that the tailings leaked this time were very fine, with a particle size of more than 200 mesh (with a diameter of less than 75 microns), and it was not easy to settle when suspended in water. In order to remove pollutants, experts decided to adopt the technical route of adding flocculant to precipitate suspended solids and molybdenum pollutants after research. The flocculant polyacrylamide and polymerized ferric sulfate selected are all agents used for drinking water treatment, which will not affect the water environment.
According to the problem of whether there are other harmful substances in tailings pollutants, Ma Fang, an expert of national environmental emergency response expert group and professor of Harbin University of technology, introduced that in order to ensure the water environment quality without fail, from April 3 to 5, the emergency headquarters specially selected three representative sections to carry out 109 indexes in the area affected by the leakage event of Yichun Luming mining tailings pond Full analysis. The results showed that, according to the drinking water quality standard, except for the excessive molybdenum element, the oil and COD in the water met the requirements, no other substances were detected or trace, no other toxic and harmful substances were found.
According to Ma Fang, molybdenum is an essential microelement for living things. If it is less, it will be beneficial, but if it is more, it will be harmful. In terms of this emergency, a large number of monitoring data show that the molybdenum content in the water after emergency treatment is less than 0.07mg/l, which conforms to the drinking water standard and will not affect the safety of residents' drinking water.
